i thinks that a lot of peoples are only donating only after considering relegion. I want to know that is it same also in the case of DP members?
I give money to charities because I want to help people who need it. I am not religious in any way, shape or form.
I give to charities but I am very picky. I tend not to give to churches mainly for my own reasons. I will not give to any service calling, because the charity end only see's 10% of that. I tend to mainly give to food banks, because of everything going on right now and they are always a good cause. I never donate food but money directly(1$ can buy 15 pounds of food if it is operated well). But thats just me
I agree. The cause has to be good though. Churches, or related entities, are one of my least likely donation places.
No matter the religion, all people are the same. So yes, when I'm donating stuff or money I don't care the religion as long as donation is passed to the ones in need.
To donate it's very good but it's sad when you separate charity by religion in your mind because they are always together with or without our agreement
I never consider religion while donating as humanity is more important than any individual religion. I normally prefer donating for education as I believe further development can only be achieved with more educated people especially in a country like India. In fact, due to rampant corruption in most places I feel it better to donate directly for education and to the needy instead of paying a lot of income tax.
i think while donating charity the thing which matter is that the individual is needy.Dont give it to professional beggers.
I think "real" charity should not be biased toward a particular religion(...) It should be focused on welfare..not religious affiliation.
I donate money to charity only after i earn some good money. I try my best to helps others who need helps within my capability, never consider relegion
I only donate to non-religion organizations.. because I don't feel like having my money go to cults that worship a imaginary man in the sky.
Same here. I often receive criticism for refusing to support the Salvation Army, but I just can't give money to an organization with a mission statement like this:
