they probably think "why hire a copy writer when we get it for free?"

just stop posting your descriptions, then they're forced to do their own. Start stealing theres and see what happens then!

Whats with all the negativity. Its it so wrong to ask an honest question, to find out what others are thinking? Why should you have to commit a crime to find out the answere?

That tells me alone they are not doing as good as you are...if they were making money, then they would no doubt hire someone to create their unique copy material...there is basicly nothing you can do, articles/text is easy copy and run, whatever you create, expect someone else to steal it. alot of people have no morals, do you expect anything less on the internet?

Create a blog, add an affiliate product, post some content and do some SEO.............

That is a proven money-making method and there are thousands of people following that. Does that mean they are copying each other? If you're talking about content written to explain this process, you can't really call it a copy.

I don't know about that, for that niche they outrank me in the SERPS and I *think* they get higher volumes of traffic. The worst part is that looking up that description - they still rank for it, rather then being kicked out for dupe content.

"just stop posting your descriptions, then they're forced to do their own. Start stealing theres and see what happens then!"
Well when they make updates that aren't clearly copied from me, I notice they just copy off someone else, which is better because it's not me - but the once I update my site - I know they'll be updating with any additions that I have as well as my descriptions. It's quite annoying - but as some have already said - not much you really do about it - because 1) it's only 1-2 sentences, 2) the nature of the internet allows such flagrant plagiarism.

There's not a lot you can do about it. At least you can produce unique copy all the time and it's a skill you can apply in every market. People who plagiarise don't have that. So you know that in the long-run, you'll be more successful.
