    I own lots of stocks and it bothered me to see it fall like it did, but I never invest money I can afford to lose. Most likely after riding this out I will quit stocks for good after it comes back up a bit.

    I had invested a part of my hard earned money in some of the blue chips companies but the net worth of these stocks had so far been eroded by almost 70 per cent but on Monday, the stocks staged a comeback and hope it would recover in the days to come...

    That was bad! But those who bought the banking and financial stocks had the worse blow some dropping to just 5% of the stock prices (if they do not file Chapter 11).

    Financial and realty cos. are heavily dependent on liquidity for growth/expansion.....

    Since there is severe liquidity crunch throughout the world...these cos. are equally effected.

    Well it has more or less returned what it has gotten that day and is back to square one and looks worse than ever.....Even after the trillions of dollars of injection, investors are as fearful as ever, even more so. One silver lining is that crude is is half the level of its peak which should alleviate all of us suffering from the inflationary effects of crude oil prices.
