It really depends on the persons site. Usually it works best when banners and text links are placed subtly and do not overwhelm the page visitors. There usually is no need to create a free new landing page.

you should to have your own website with domain paid!
it's the best way to promote some free hosting will delete your site when they see you're promoting and some free domain will not give it to you for free, they put ads in your website!
however you can start also without website but is not recommend

Definitely best to have your own website. I agree with CaroleAffBuzz. It's best to be subtle with your ads. I've found too that you want to have plenty of believeable content on the page too if you're going the route of organic SEO to promote your site. Google doesn't like the ratio of content vs ads to be too off. Even read somewhere (but haven't tested) that it's best to make those ad banners nofollow links becuase Google may shun you if you send its spiders off on a wild goose chase for no reason. Again-- not tested but I've read that.

Tho i make most my affiliate sales using twitter, i find that most my product sales from websites/blogs are usually better when i include in text links, like i would choose keywords in one of my articles and link those key words to related products.

    Hi there,
Yes, I agree you are better off with your own website or blog. A key point to mind is to be sure the content of the page relates to the ads you want to post there. The banners on a page should directly reflect your content. Be sure not to place too many banners as that puts people off a lot. All the best.
