Are you allowed to visit/refresh your own site?

I have adsense on my site and everytime I update my website, I'm afraid to visit and refresh the site too many times to check that my update is correct and my links are working.

Are you allowed to visit your own site and how much can you refresh without it looking like you are getting too much traffic from one IP address?

If you are just refreshing the page and not clicking any ads, it doesn't matter the number of times you refresh as you don't earn for that usually.

No, I don't click anything, but I thought you received a few cents for a certain number of pageviews?

ya just don't do anything blackhat. you have to see what your site looks like in order to make it usable for others.

No, adsense usually don't pay for displays but just for clicks mostly. Don't worry about the number of times you refresh but just don't click on your own ads.

If you get a few thousand pageviews a day, you'd have to be refreshing a lot to make a dent in that.

One of my sites does get more for impressions than clicks though, most days it gets no clicks but can still earn 50c or so.

Pageviews are measured in the thousands. And a thousand pageviews with earn you like .... 0.01 cents?! You'll die refreshing your webpages, before you can even earn anything from it. So Google doesn't bother.
