I run CJ banner ads on my blog. The problem is that the code generated for me by CJ is blocked by ad blocking software (Ad-block plus). I was wondering if it's permissible for me to modify the ad code by hosting the banner ads on my own server (instead of CJ's server) and displaying them that way. This way, the ads aren't blocked. I'm asking this because I know companies like Google don't allow you to modify their code. Thanks.
that should not be a problem as long as your affiliate link is set and tracked correctly. if you do this you will not see impressions in your cj stats only clicks.
you can get the just affliate link , and use the link by yourself. e.g. a text link to your affliate link . it also can be tracked.
I use PHP redirect for CJ. The php file is hosted on my server. You can also use html redirect and save the html file in your server. In this way, your aff ad will look neat and professional.
I use the html technique and it works fine, plus it gives you more indication of which banners are being clicked as it shows up as a page visit if you include Google Analytics code in it too
