I have heard rumors that PPA ( Pay per action ) might be on it's way towards adwords advertisers. This means that we only get paid when something sells... I see 2 sides to this , good and bad. Good: We might earn percentage commissions, like 10-65% of the sale or something... Bad: We will have to deal with the situation where a lot click but dont buy ... I've heard advertisers are starting to be frustrated with the bidding competition, meaning that the shareholders are getting redder and redder by paying up to 7$ for keywords like hosting. Any opinions?
That would be really dumb. I think the current way adsense works is just fine. I actually use adsense to advertise my webhosting company and we average an order just about every 10 clicks.
Google would make more money as a pay per click model. Why would they want to get paid per sale when they can with every click. There could always be a devision for CPA when google starts taking over the net.
not a chance that this will change guaranteed within the next year atleast. Google would loss so much money it would be unbelievebale. Even if they did do it, i'd just start up my affiliate marketing again, i mean with CPA you can't lose can you, you only pay for advertising if someone buys, meaning you make money.
PPA would simply flip who gets screwed in the fraud side of the model. That would make it even easier to dispute a sale, fake a sale, deny a lead, etc.
Then instead of Google Microsoft will come out with PPC. PPC ads attract more webmasters = wider audience to advertise to = attracts more clients. PPC will never die.
