Are you affected by financial crisis

I am sitting at my home idle and waiting for joining a company as I am a fresher and my joining is delayed just because of financial crisis.

Are you too afffected by financial crisis in any way.

Obcourse a lot of people get affected by this crisis especially now that prices of oil is increasing and prices of commodities become higher. Lack of jobs and employment . This crisis affect not just US but the whole world as well since a lot of countries rely from US.

 

Prices of oil will decrease. Buy yea unemployment will increase for sure.

 

This financial crisis has affected people world over.....

Some are least affected while the people involved directly with capital markets are the worst lot (including me...).

May god bring sanity to this irrational pessimism.....

I am affected by the financial crisis to some extent.

 

Yeah Very affected....mostly in my dollar acct.

Right now I can't feel the financial crisis because I think I don't have any responsibility yet? so my money is only just for me, My parents does not need my support because they have a very successful business in our province, and my sister is a Senior programmer and she's salary is very huge compare to mine. I can't feel it yet because I am only buying some things for my self or sometimes I'm just spending it to some online games out there.

 

yes billions of dollars have been wiped from australian market here,and its not just aus/USA..its global.
from reports on tv,we haven't hit the bottom yet.

companies here are already laying off people. ford i think..holden could go too :S
The gov has guaranteed bank deposits..but there are heaps of people invested in funds and other types that aren't guaranteed,and their accounts are frozen.
There are others whose homes are getting repossessed..although is not as severe as it is in america.
mainly sydney and south east queensland are getting affected on the housing front.

my overheads are low,and so is my income(fulltime student)so it won't affect me as bad. I'm planning to study the next 12months as well,while working online so my options are as flexible as i can be in my present circumstances. there are some family members who have lost $xxx,xxx's just prior to the collapse. through an investment fund. the fund went bankrupt i think?!..can't remember the details.

I also know of a 3 major companies alone in my state that are at a critical point. 1 such company has stocked valued about 60c under it opening IPO price from 1 yr ago. (that was at the black friday price..havent checked it since then)..

 

I am not really that affected except from some stocks that I have bought 2 years ago are now down by 60%

 

I guess a better question is: who is affected by the crisis for the better?

 

Till now i havent been affected that much by the crisis.

But i know a lot who have been affected..

 

I feel have been so down on money lately.. So is everyone else I know right now.. it's becoming so depressing. If you listen around you, the words "I am so broke" are being said so much..

Im estimate if im not doing something more profitable now, my life will totally sucked with economic crisis.

 

US is badly affected. how is Canada safe

 

Yup things are pretty bad over here, It seems that bad days are here to stay. Hope this tough time pass quickly and we come out as a strong nation.

 

What my gut feeling is as soon as elections are over and Barack Obama is the president. Things will be back to their normal states
