I used to be Veggie then Vegan then back to Veggie for 15+ years.

I've been eating meat again for a few years but, in all honesty you get fed-up of eating meat after awhile as my tastes are so limited.

I tend to eat alot of pork/ham/bacon (British) and Aberdeen angus stake lol

I even still buy frozen veggie lasagna, cannelloni ...etc.

It's how they treat animals when reared eg: factory / intensive farming that bothers me the most, eating free range meat doesn't bother me :)

Being veggie doesn't mean your blameless from contributing to the death of an animal ... collateral deaths ;)

I am not a vegetarian. I like some kinds of meat too much, especially steak and roast beef.

I dislike red meat and rarely eat it... but I'm becoming fussier with other meats too. Might just be easier not to eat it at all, however it is affecting my vitamin B12 levels.

A multivitamin is suppose to fix it, but I'm hopeless for taking it (oops)...

Its long back when I used to eat non-veg but I was not aware that from where it comes and how its prepared. But when I came to know, I turned veg.

But that was not enough until I came across the facts of the diary industry and realised that cows are the by products of meat industry. Cow gives milk for its calf. But people starve the calf and even sell it to the slaughter house and sell cow's milk. And when cow is in no position to give milk, its sent to slaughter house. Cows are injected with chemicals to force it milk and now they are even made pregnant by modern methods. Diary industry has become a curse for these poor animals.

And then I finally decided to become Vegan and gave up diary products. And I think I am still surviving and doing even much better.

I know non-veg people will not understand that what they are doing is infact cruelty to animals. The biggest and hugest animals on this plant, the great elephant survives on grass, fruits and water. So why can't we.

Just to fulfil your desires and taste, you have the animals slaughtered mercilessly. They struggle in terrible pain but are speechless and when people eat them, they think they have done something to survive.

Just as we have the right to live, animals too have the right to live. They are not our slaves. But we have made them our slaves. Just like human trading and slavery is illegal, so should be for animals too.

You are veg and that's great.

But did you know that by consuming diary products, you are promoting cruelty to animals? To know the facts, please visit www.petaindia.com.

    Haha good point.

But whatever you are... vegan, vegitarian, meat eater... you have no right to tell people eating/not eating meat is wrong.

A vegan has tried to press their opinions on me in the past, and I did not appreciate it. I am not wrong for eating fish, chicken and dairy. Animals slaughter animals, and humans are omnivores. It's nature.

People (guys in particular) scorn me for not eating red meat. I'm sick of trying to explain I purely dislike the taste, I'm not an activist!

    It's the individuals choice.
