You may as well make a salad then, much better with a little dressing tossed on it.

This conversation just reminded me to look something up for my husband. He had high cholesterol when the doctor checked it a few months ago, and he was showing me last night how his lunch had no cholesterol in it. I pointed out the fat content. He didn't think it was a problem and assured me the reading he'd done said he only had to watch the cholesterol content of his food, not the fat content.

He always grumbles when I cut the visible fat off all the meat. I've told him he needs to be more careful about what he eats, although I'm not ready to even try for a vegetarian diet with him yet.

I love both meats and veggies, so long as the veggies aren't overcooked. I like the veggies to be crunchy, not that soggy stuff you get so many places if you eat out.

You can usually spot vegans a mile away. The dark ring around the eyes and the tired face that looks to be pulled down.

I know 1 vegan who looked healthy and had lost much weight not eating meat. The others I know that are looking better now are supplementing with glyconutrients and what a difference that made.

I believe in a balance, but without meat I just don't get full.

You better learn to like it Kalina, that is why you have headaches all the time.

Not enough carrots for those eyes...

Beans, brown rice, tomatoes, spinach, broccoli , whole wheat, all good for you.

Are you trying to make me mad again Kalina?

Sorry WW, that was Weirfire and Kalina on the swinefest diet, not you ;) :)

SE is flat out cutting the fat off the swine and swallowing it down whole

    http://vivisimo.com/search?v%3Asources=Web&query=lard+cancer&x=27&y=19

It is the smoke from the wood that gives it the flavor, not the swine, you could cook cat or horse meat under oak or hickory logs and it would taste good.

That does not mean it is good for you!!!!

Anthony you don't have to worry about that with me, I don't eat the fat off meat. I think it's gross and can't stand the nasty crunch some has when it accidently gets in my mouth. I spit it out.

I do have to improve the fruits and vegetables but I just can't eat stuff I don't like.
