Are you a chess player?

I started playing a couple months ago and am now totally hooked.

I joined a local chess club a few weeks ago and have been improving rapidly.

Are there any other chess fanatics here on Digital Point?

I love to play chess my dad thought me when i was a kid. But there is a big difference between playing chess face to face and online. What a lot of people do online is they use simulators and are insanely difficult to beat.Thumbs up for this post it really took me back at the good old days, we can play a game or two , PM me if you want. Been playing Chess for over a decade. Helps me concentrate.
I prefer playing it in person with people rather than with a computer.

 

It is a good game for relaxing. I don't play very often. When I have free time I play with my friends. I want to ask you, how can I find playing chess online for money? Do you know any web page about it?

 

I like to play chess and played few years ago. Basically it's take long time to complete a game. But interesting.

 

Yes, I agree completely. In-person games with a physical chess board is much, much funner than playing online.

Unfortunately it can be difficult to find enough people in-person to play chess everyday. The only option then is to play online.

I go to a weekly chess club and my online play is more or less a form of practice, preparing me for my in-person games at chess club.

 

^^True. Te last time I played Chess with a a person was around two years ago. Since then it's just me and my iPad.

 

Sometimes when playing online I use a physical chess board as a medium for my play. When my opponent moves I move the same piece on the board and then think about my own move. I then move that piece and and then play the same move on the online board. That way I'm sort of playing an in person game. It's as close as possible anyway. I only do that for slow games though.

 

That's a nice way to do it.

 

Chess was one of my favorite games that I was playing when I was a child! I remember, every time when I back from school, the table was ready for playing.

My first teacher was my grandfather and at the beginning I couldn't beat him, but after I few moths he was easy target for me. By the way, I never went to a tournament, but I used to play in a school competition and I won.

 

I like playing chess but i am not that good in playing chess and i rarely play against other players. I prefer to play chess on my Windows PC.
