I have a PR4 word cloud link script site, and i was wondering whether it was bad for PR and thats what everyone thought. Because that explains why i am selling no links. If anyone has any information on why no one is buying links anymore please explain. Have google done something?
There was a boom of that sites on previous years, but now that market probably is saturated. I thinks there's no real SEO benefit to be linked on that sites, because IMO word cloud sites are treated by search engines like link farms. Maybe the future is on creating word cloud NICHE sites. For example: word cloud for real state. word cloud for entertainment, etc... Although probably word cloud site owners are going to disagree with me posting another arguments on this thread.
have a look at it and tell me what you think. its www(dot)myotis(dot)org . Should i turn it into a sports directory? I was thinking maybe a web directory or a site only for webmaster links. Im still not sure i need some ideas though.
Do a directory with featured links, and maybe 2 or 3 footer links. You'll fair better in the long run with a directory, and likely even longer with a quality niche directory...though in the short term directories can make smaller amounts of cash, and niche ones even less. However, when google finally gets around to saying Directories are bad, the quality niche ones will be some of the last to go.
I would say they are bad since most of the sites have more than 100 links which is against the Google's TOS
Yes i am getting worried whether my link sites will be a success. And more worrying is the high price i paid for them.
Then why not use them for something more constructive then a link farm? Convert the linkcloud submissions to directory submissions. If people paid for the cloud entry, then give them paid perks in the directory. Maybe manually give them a color tweak or something so they will stand out. I'm sure most, if not all, submitters would would be fine with that. If you have free submissions in the cloud, then those people are only getting a free link altered and likely won't complain either.... unless you are nixing links (which is bad). It's also already shown that Google is (or will be) discounting paid links, and you can bet your bottom dollar that word cloud sites are high on the drop list... that's another point that should prompt you to convert to something more substantial. It's also a point to help your previous customers not mind so much that you are converting.
They have lots of outgoing links, meaning less strength to your site Usually expired domain, meaning they lose that PR in time Not trafficked, meaning you wont get any new readers. So all in all, unless its really cheap ($1 for PR5-7), I wouldn't even bother.
i dont think that they worth for seo because there will so many unrelated link will be together on those types of sites
