    If a woman is looking for a "life partner" and someone with whom she might have children then she'd be wise to consider the mans ability to support a family. Its not gold digging - while she is working she may well be earning the same or more than him, but at some point one of those incomes is going to go.

    There are countless stories of women trying to raise kids while the husband gambles, drinks or parties away their income and they go without. No doubt they thought love would conquer all. Sad fact of life, it doesn't.

    There is a world of difference between a gold digger and an astute woman protecting herself. Don't get them confused.
