Are webrings a good link development strategy?

Hi Guys,

Just wondering what your thoughts are around developing links to your site using WEBRINGS? I have enrolled one of my sites in numerous webrings and they seem to be pulling some moderately good traffic.

Have any of you used this strategy to increase your SERP and BLs?

Yep. And they work too - they're basically just another way to network links.

Check if the links are live links or something like "jump.php?id=xxx", I think most use the latter one, which should not affect your SERPs. Webring is useful to get direct visitors since all websites on a ring are related.

 

Can anyone suggest some webrings that show static link instead of dynamic link so that it helps in gaining backlinks ?

 

I was in a web ring for years, absolutly useless IMO.

 

You dont see many webrings anymore. not like you used to. Have n't tried it. All to often its an ugly button or something.

 

In my niche there is a webring and the person who sponsors it benfeits from it greatly. He has the previous-next and then sponsored by "hisURL.com". I'm thinking about doing it easy way to get relvant backlinks.
