Are we living in end times?

With all these floods and earthquakes going on all around us and now with the threat of nuclear spillage in Japan i'm surprised noone has brought up the end times angle.

With so much damage the cost of rebuilding is enormous. I'd like to know what happens when insurance companies go broke? Does anyone know? Are the insurers in end times?

    Acts of God fine print:

*Warning, acts of God may indeed be cause by butterflies and the chaos theory. Logic need not apply. Check all brains, thinking, and education in at the door. Thank you for joining a Religion and blaming it on God. Have a nice day.

*meteor impacts earth* GAWD DID IT!
    *earthquake* GAWD!!!!
    *flatulence* GAWD!
*climate change proven true* GAWD!1 or ITS NOT REALLY REAL *fling poo like monkey*
*science discovers cure for cancer* GAWD DID IT! NOT REALLY SCIENTISTS!

    >_>

God Clause. Because humans roll that way.

Yeah, probably... i mean, earthquakes and floods are totally new, they have only been happening in the last 5 or so years. 10 years ago there were no earthquakes.

Earthquakes have been going on all over the world since records began. Here's a quick Google.

I understand 'good' jokes, maybe it should have stopped at totally new... :) The rest, being a stretched out blank statement of untruth, made it a little hard (for me) to read as a joke, though I admit I did chuckle that someone just might believe that, and that was probably the point. :)

Not having a go at st0x, I've stated here before that when it comes to the right logic, he & Helvetii are the stars of P&R, IMHO.

You must surely know that many here aren't known for their brightness (there's a man in the sky watching me lol) and incredibly outright statements like that can easily be taken out of context and used against him. A little smiley on the end may have helped.

The earth could end at any point for any reason. And earth based events are not what's the most worrying thing it's the things that we can't see that are happening in outter space.

the fact of the matter is are little blue planet is under attact. Current Impact Risks : NASA.

The prophecy is when the last good person dies the "end times" will come for those left remaining or with the last evil persons death there will be salvation.....earthquake, tsunami do not prevent life from continuing - meltdown of a nuclear reactor does and is the difference in direction of man than all the other creatures for the better times ahead, for them.

My problem with that prophecy Breeze Wood is who gets to decide the good people? Is it George Bush? Is it Oprah Winfrey? Moamer Gaddafi etc.. Good and bad are too arbitrary because what's good for some is bad for others and vice versa.

Hypothetically, some see Wisconsin as good, some see it as bad. I think Republicans seem to be inherrently evil yet they think the Libs are, etc.

If the YinYang theory is correct then for every good created there is bad created as represented by the two equal sides. The theory suggests there is good everywhere and bad everywhere and it will go on like that forever.

Everything based on guesswork is a theory, isn't it?

A theory can be based on facts. Like the theory of multiple universes, is based on the facts of our own. Is it a theory that I could drive around the world, yeah maybe. But it maybe based on the fact that I can drive to begin with.

I agree a theory can also be based on facts but what I was meaning that if a theory is solely based upon guesswork alone then it must be a theory.

I will change my blank statement above to say; if it's based on guesswork then it is either a hypothesis or a theory. :)

What is scarier are the retards on Facebook saying "Haha its revenge for Pearl Harbor". I can't believe the United States has people this ignorant and stu-- oh wait, yes I can believe it. George Bush and Sarah Palin.

Yep, that's the USA for you. A bunch of retards laughing at the misery of others because of a war that happened in the 40s - which we won, and in which we dropped two nuclear bombs, killing over 100,000 people and ending the war, saying the Tsunami is revenge for a military attack that killed less than 2k. Especially when 90% of those alive in Japan now had nothing to do with World War II. God bless America.
