Lol who is the person that coined the term "link juice?" It's like everyone is in the PR saloon or something...
Not true at all! What about a site of hundreds thousand pages of unique content, of which no one knows, without a single link = not indexed if not submitted to SEs! What about a similar site with poor or not relevant back links - dead one because of the competition around. What about the link sellers/buyers - excluding me & my clients, for most of the guys around here PR is still the definition of "quality" and price. Hence the PR of the back links to a site one is buying/selling such from/to...which is a bit stupid in my opinion, but anyway(the PR itself - this does not define a really quality link in my opinion). In any case content is very important, but so are and the in-links. Even if there was no PR, links are links and the quality of those can easily be defined and shall be if G. decides to removed the visual PR some day. Good point lol Now to the point of the thread, I have some really quality nofollow links to some of my sites, but I dont believe they have any importance according Google, though working quite amazing in yahoo I think... And all my sites are monetized mainly with affiliate programmes, although some of them have ads. Most of them have huge number of nofollow links to my affiliates and most of them rank great, actually those with less affiliate links rank worse, but guess this is because of my attention to them.... /don't get offended and don't notice if any mistypes - I'm way too drunk starting a holiday...in that sense have a nice relax these days /
Interesting. I have been dismissing nofollow links lately but after reading this thread, I think it probably is a good idea to sprinkle in some nofollow links here and there. You guys are right, it is all about looking natural to the search engines. That is the only way to ensure your rankings stay high!
If that is the case so why does Google webmaster tools list also nofollow links? If they are so worthless anyway, why bother listing them at all. IMHO, I believe Google does count nofollow links toward your backlinks, not toward your PR with link juice but towards your efforts of building backlinks.
