    Hello,

I just have a quick question for you.

Are we allowed to start a thread informing people of an external auction and/or asking them to bid on it?

I have a few names that I would like to push to Sedo auction and I would like to advertise them here and also I sell a few names on ebay and I wanted to know if posting a thread to inform people that the auction is running and/or ending soon is allowed.

    Please let me know.

Thanks so much in advance :)

I'm sure it is ok, when I posted in the B/S/T section regularly it was ok, but that was over 6 months ago. I don't think things have changed since then though.

Do not post simply to include a link to an off-site auction. Really, if you're going to accept bids and advertise it here, you should be willing to accept bids via posts or PMs though in addition to any other open auction (as some people do when hosting their auction on another forum. At an absolute minimum, relevant details should be included (just a link would be link spam - a 5 point infraction). And remember, if you advertise it in the BST section, you're required to accept PMs regarding any deals or questions.
