I think it is OK since that account is a premium adsense user which can manipulate more on displaying their ads
How did you got to know that it's premium adsense account? That site is popular but I don't think it's good enough to get the premium status.
it could be that this site is one of hundreds of the same webmaster. and he generates massive impressions, so that it could be that the webmaster has a premium adsense account
Let's leave the premium adsense account thing for now. A normal account holder is allowed to display ads in this fashion or not is my question. Please let me know if you have any idea about this
I don't think so actually. I was of the impression that anything that might seem to interfere with the designated adsense layout would cause a problem. However the best source for advice on this would of course be adsense themselves.
