    Ooops - my bad. I didn't spot the explicit mention of referral ads in the OP.
    Yes - probably okay for referral ads, but not for any others. Still a weird choice of wording though:

    If you need some equipment try...... Firefox with Google toolbar? WTF?

    If it is a referral you are allowed to endorse the product. You are not allow to say anything about the other adsense ads
