are warez sites that just post rapidshare links in forums illegal? basically a forums site that has warez links in them no downloading on the site though.
That's like asking "if i tell someone how to steal a police car will they nick me as long as it is not me who steals it? "
yes it is illegal. even if you don't store files as long as there are links in your site/forum. borat.
I don't think you will get lot of members if you make ask your member to pay in order to join your forum What i suggest you , find an offshore hosting ( Netherlands , China... ) and host your warez forum there.
Is it illegal to download warez then? Yes I know stupid question probably is, but just wanna to be sure. I mean, so many people do it, especially from lime wire, is that illegal, if it is why is lime wire still up and running?
Hi Warez related websites are not illegal all over the world. Certain countries may not recognize copyright laws and in these countries you are free to deal in warez. In certain countries, such as South Africa, there are copyright laws, but they are the least of your problems. In South Africa, if you run a warez forum, even not hosting the files, you can be charged with conspiracy to commit a crime, which may end you up in jail for at least 3 years. Like mentioned above, check your local laws.
yes it is illegal. even if you don't store files as long as there are links in your site/forum. Well then should Google be spakned real good
Yes, it would be better to check your local laws and regulations first, before starting a warez forum.
Illegal because of international law. There are international copyright regulations not just your local ones.
No. Promoting theft is still the same, it doesn't matter what kind of paint job you throw on it Yes. It's still illegal to steal other people property and use it when you didn't pay for it. If you see a box of electronics fall off of a truck, is it O.K. to take anything you want out of the box ? If you think it is, then nothing we say will make you understand or change your mind. If you know it to still be theft, then apply that to the web. Just because technology makes it easy, doesn't mean the law has changed. It's not that it's not illegal, it's just that some countries don't give a crap about the rights of others and in many cases thrive from bootlegging and piracy. If you live in one of those countries, by all means, continue to be a part of the problem, but God help you if you actually create something of your own...someone will probably link to it and give it away for free.
Warez is surely illegal, if you want to run a site. just host it offshore. and thats it. you wont get caught.
It is illegal in some countries. Its legal in some. So better, read rules and regulations pertaining to internet activities in your country. As far as i know, my country doesn't have a law about internet piracy. Wee.. I'm happy.. But i think other piracy laws do cover the internet also in an indirect way.
