are u really earnign from your blogs?

It seems that there are so many blogs in these days. Too many competition! People really have time to read other blogs. Without much traffic, can we really earning from blogs? How much are u earning from your blogs?

 

I do run a blog, and I find that it earns much less than most other sites I own.

 

again depends oin your niche. focused ones tend to earn more.

 

I have a random topic blog and I get around 500 uniques a day and maybe less than a $1 per day I havent optimized the google ads placement though.

 

Why are you leaving money on the table???

 

I have friends earning high $xx/day on their blog, but it's very niche-specific. I personally don't earn crap on my blog, maybe 20 cents/week. I earn all my income from content-driven sites that aren't blogs.

 

I believe that content-driven sites can earn more than blogs though same time can be taken.

 

I completely agree though. like I said, I have friends earning quite a bit just on their blog. takes time and effort, but it can be done. Weblogs Inc, aka engadget related sites, earn nearly $1 million or more, just from blogging. Time, effort, creativity, and precision, but it's definitely possible.

 

Possible but not probable, I guess. I spend way too much time and effort on my blogs, partly for the entertainment and creative outlet it gives me and partly for the supposed riches I was gonna earn thru Adsense...hahaha.

 

My blogs are my best earners...

 

I run a blog and it gets over around $30 a month. It is new.

However, if I get a good story and it's linked, which it has then I get way more revenue.

For example, I wrote a story about the Kama Sutra Virus. It got linked by another blog and I got about 800+ visitors for that story.

I made $25 with that story and my CTR went into double digits.

A blog is just another form of a website. If people visit and are interested they will click on your ads because it's just like any other site.

I would suggest that you do blog about a topic (i.e. politics, news, technology etc.). I would think that personal blogs would make very little.

Thanks Skinny. You give us a good idea. I believe I blog focused on a certain topic rather than some personal staff would attract more visitor and thus make more money. Good point!

 

I recon matt cutts blog would make a LOT! I guess google pays him enough anyway.

 

my blog is just 1/10 of my income from other site. hehe, i don't have too much to say about myself

perfectly true, since there's no niche for 'interested' visitors.

 

i think traffic is the key..from what i have heard/read or understood from DP..so may be yes. u can earn a lot..if u would get interested and more visitors

 

Good content is the key...Then comes traffic if you cannot be "found" only by your content :/

 

It is entirely possible to make a good amount from a blog however I am yet to make anything. Like already mentioned its all about which niché you decide to blog about.

 

Just like any other site, whether you can make a blog profitable has everything to do with content and your niche.
