Are Tutorial Blogs a good idea?

    I'd advise you to do some video tutorials. I bet if I did a search in Google I could find loads of websites with AutoCAD tutorials, but I bet only a tiny amount (5% max) include any sort of video tutorials. Just download some free software such as CamStudio or CamTasia and record what you're doing, then narrate it to make it extra clear. Videos are soo much clearer than written tutorials, but if you did a video and then wrote up what you were doing, you'd rank highly in search engines due to the unique content, but still please your viewers :)

    For a program like AutoCAD its a great idea. Its a hard program to learn and there are not many blogs out there who do it.

    Where as something like web design its alot harder to stand out from the crowd.

    I also have a tutorial site. It is about 3D modelling and rendering using mainly Rhino 3D and Blender. The click rate is quite low. But I guess it is probably because of the ads placements.
