Are torrent site considered 'warez'?

    Thinking.. Will you be penalised for having a link to your site on a torrent site?

    It can really bring good traffic both directly and indirectly.

    Well its indirectly connected to warez because they are providing a means to search for warez.

    Similar to blogs and forums with rapidshare links, they may not be hosting it but still making it easier for people to source the stuff.
