I see a lot of threads/posts stating that you are all making all kinds of money from (program name). Now...Are these testimonials true or are they just a ploy to get folks to join your particular program? I am a very cautious newbie to the internet marketing world and I see a lot of posts stating that "I have made X amount of $$ in 4 days" or 5 days or a week. How is this done? I have looked at numerous programs, joined many programs but have yet to see any money coming in. Maybe I am naive to the internet earning world or just dont grasp the way things are done. I am a member of a program (see sig) and I did actually get a commission check from them yesterday. It wasn't big but I reckon it's a start!! Besides setting goals etc etc etc, how does one actually MAKE MONEY online (no blogging etc as I am a very bad writer of articles!!) I appreciate the comments that I know I am going to get lol but can someone please tell me how to make bookoo bucks online?
    Thanks in advance..
    Dave...

I can not make a general comment on the reliability of all the testimonials, but on a forum like DP there would be number of webmasters who make serious money. It is also true that there are thousands of people who make a living out of adsense or affiliate programs like CJ.

Same time, you must be aware that only a small percentage may be 1%-2% of all those who attempt to make money online, end up making anything substantial. Even those do not do it overnight - they spend lots of time reasearching, learning and getting it wrong before they start making something.

Making money online is not as easy as you imagine. It is going to take a lot of efforts and time and there is no guarantee about anything. And it is not for everyone.

As a newbie, here is a few (free) advices :)

    1. Dont expect to make money by following some advices or reading an ebook. You need to do a lot more homework.
    2. Do not think in terms of money in the beginning. Think about traffic. Think how you can get few thousands of users to your website, every day. if you have targetted traffic, you can easily monitize. Otherwise, you can not do anything.
    3. Identify your skills and plan something that is fine with you. Blogging and article writing is not the only skill that can make money.

When you signed up for a "program", did you actually take action and did you stick with it for a few weeks?

It's possible to make money with almost every "program" you just need to put in the effort and use your common knowledge. Also as the previous poster said, read a lot, take a lot of information up and above all experiment and don't give up.

Thanks for the input. I joined the program that is in my signature. (not sure if I am allowed to actually say the name of the program on the posting so I won't) I have and currently still am, studying every aspect of this program sometimes (like last night) staying up till the wee hours of the morning just getting all the information I can about it and how to do it. Then, I got an email saying that I just had my first sign-up! Sweet! I have been an Executive Affiliate from almost day 1 as I buy some of the wellness products they have to offer. I might add that these products work really well. I feel GOOD! :) Also, the commission check I received was small (less than 10 but more than 5 lol) but is a promising sign of things to come! Things have been happening really fast lately and thats why I posted my question but after reading through the program for what seemed like hours....Wait...It WAS hours!...I am finally getting a grasp on the how-to's of the internet world of money making through an affiliate program. I used to make quite a bit of money in a (now defunct) auto-surfing program where I was in charge of the live help program with a pretty good wage PLUS the cash I got from auto-surfing and referral program. Thats all gone now so I have to look at other options and I do believe I have found it. I also participate in a couple of click to pay programs but thats pennies a day and not enough for a mouse to live on lol but I keep doing it. I guess its an addiction:eek: Anyway... once again, thanks for your input guys..
    Dave.

Some of the testimonials are real. Some of them are just people trying to get affiliate commissions.

If it's a testimonial about some particular clickbank product I would be very careful about what you believe.
