Hey Guys, check the attachment, and let me know if these backlink are countable or not. because when i check the source code of this page, i am not able to see these backlink data in physically. May be they are putting via Jscript. but my main concern are these backlinks countable or not? thanks in advance.
According to Brian Dean at backlinko, when these kind of backlinks are from high authority sites that are do follow, they are "killer" link sources. Social likes, comments and follows, depending on the way the social or forum site is coded, automatically link back to the member's profile page. If that page in turn links to your site, you have a good authority link in tier I, with built in social juice. Because the site links may or may not be do follow, these type of links do not have a footprint, which is also good in terms of getting past Google. The OP should check the target site link against a backlink checking site, then add a few new comments. Upon re-using the backlink checker, see if the number of links increased---if so, the above link is countable.
I would never consider those comments spam on my site. On the other hand, having an army of Chinese bots posting 300,000 comments (literally to the point of nearly crashing my server) that contain nothing other than scraped text and massive amounts of links, is definitely spam. I believe that is what Google cracked down on. Any type of actual comment is still acceptable, as far as I know.
Yes, but keep in mind the quality of the comment and the link name makes a difference! I would pick a name that would be a keyword on the page I direct the link to. I would also choose a sub-page on my site for the link to target instead of my index page.
Totally agree with you and I do get long long comments full of links on my blog and forum. I have to clarify... most of the people who ask these sorts of questions will just spam blogs and forums with 'thank you' posts trying to leave their link in the comment. It's the reality of blog comments and it's a real shame that we have to switch off comments on our blogs because of the spammers (there was a time when I was getting one good comment for 20k-30k of spam comments).
