Hi, I know Google recommends blending, but can somebody check that these ads aren't blended "too well"? http://www.cat-world.com.au/ The ones I'm referring to are in the middle (white) section, in the 6th column down. Thanks
It looks ok to me ! ... I saw tons of sites using this technique....but if you are unsure check with google or don't use it
Yep that middle section ads moved to the top of that would bring in many more clicks. The site looks really good tho.
Update is that I've e-mailed G to clarify. I am sure I'm within their TOS, but would like to hear it from the horses mouth. Will post an update when I hear back from them.
PS: I can't believe you'd say it looks good. I guess I'm an ideas kind of person, but when it comes to design I suck. So that's a major compliment
but when it comes to advertisers view, that sucks, cause visitors might think that is a link on you site, not an ads.
looks good, and i dont think it's against TOS..but, if the users are 'fooled' into clicking, and just leave the advertiser's page, SmartPricing will kick in and your clicks will be down to $.01 - $.03 very quickly..
Still waiting to hear back from G. To be honest, it's not had any effect on the CTR anyway. The best paying ads are in the column to the left. I'm not aware of Smart Pricing but certainly don't want any more .01 cent ads, I've had a few of those recently.
Aargh, it won't let me edit. I don't mean the best paying ads are on the left, I mean they are the ones most often clicked.
Google's way of "adjusting" your potential CPC depending on the performance of ads on your site. Most publishers see this after a huge initial increase in earnings.
