Are There Really That Many Using Adwords Sniping Tools?

I recently setup a campaign and had a few different adds, with a boat load of keywords associated to them. I noticed that the campaign took off slowly and started getting more clicks each day, then all the clicks and displays stopped. I am curious if there are enough people using google competition checkers and so forth that this is common place when using the adwords marketplace?

All the ads still show eligable, active and displaying, but the activity has seemed to just drop off all of sudden. Any suggestions are welcome.

From what I know of the sniper tools the only cool feature they can tell you is how long an ad has been running for a certain keyword. Which ultimately can mean that the keyword maybe profitable for their campaign. And I think that last part is key... "for their campaign". Every campaign is different - keyword, ad, landing page, sales funnel, etc. You need to look into what changed and is not working for you. Competition will always be a factor and regularly looking through your ads and split testing and going through your keyword list and optimizing will always be a regular part of your campaign. Nothing is static. That being said, are you still getting impressions? Did your ad position drop? Did you ad negative keywords? Did your Quality Score change? Let's figure out what changed in your campaign.

Well it looks like the ads are still getting plenty of impressions just no clicks. I guess that could just be the natural flow of things, it just seemed like a pretty abrupt change. The ads are still holding at the average position of 3 which has not changed either.

So plenty of impressions but no clicks. Are those impressions coming from a broad keyword that may not be completely relevant? Are you split testing ads to work on improving your click through rate?

I have created 2 text adds and have just setup a few image ads and waiting on approval to see how they produce too.
