When someone transfers money to me, will I have to pay a fee? I looked at the PayPal Canada website page on this and it seems to say that accepting payments has a fee but specifically towards merchants. I'm not a merchant. I just sell $5 amazon.com gift codes every once in a while, and this time a $190 account. Does that make me a merchant?? It's not very clear to me. Can someone explain it more fully?
Yes, but it will be deducted from the money which is being sent int your account. Like if someone is sending you $10, you will get only $9.31. Rest $0.69 is the fee of PP.
you can actually refer the fee by visit the paypal website - https://cms.paypal.com/ca/cgi-bin/marketingweb?cmd=_render-content&content_ID=marketing_ca/fees
I think, if you open a personal account then there will not be any fees for receiving money if sender is sending you money from PayPal balance. If they send you from CC, there will be fees.
This was changed long ago. The same fees apply to all account types. Merchant rates are available for business accounts only.
when someone sends you money, they have a couple of options. if they market the money as gift, then there will be no fees. if it is for goods or services, then there will be a fee depending on which category they select.
