    While @denis bayly s answer is technically correct, I'm guessing you really wanted to ask something else - are you asking if there is instances where text is placed outside the active window? Ie, overflowing so that you cannot see it? If so, of course it is.
    This sounds like a stupid school-assignment question...

    Think about it. If text could not be placed outside of the active window THERE WOULD NEVER BE A NEED FOR SCROLL BARS.
