Are there better alternatives than Google analytics?

    I use two programs to measure the stats on my sites, Google Analytics and Awstats. For one of my sites in particular, Awstats is a lot more complimentary claiming I get 800+ per day on my site, yet Analytics says I only get approx 200-300 visitors.

    Does anyone know why this is? Does Google Analytics count every visitor or only those that come from Google?

    Check out Woopra, They are great. They have a cool desktop program as well as iOS apps too. The program tracks vistors in realtime. Really cool. Best of all it's free, they also have other plans based on the amount of traffic you receive. Hope this helps.

    Yeah I've tried Woopra before and it has some unique features not available in Analytics. You may also try Statcounter - Free and easy to use monitoring tool too.
