How much money you make - with or without a degree - is purely a function of how hard you work for it.
To be honest you have more chances of getting a job here with a degree. Its sad but some times a bit of paper is what some companies look for.
I wasted > $90K on a degree I don't even use. * It was fun though! MightyB- you need to tell everyone you know about what you do. Hopefully you can get some referral business. It's amazing how quickly you can build a business like this from just a few jobs. *parents helped a little
This is the way i look at it. If my parents want to pay for my uni, why not? lol Yea, marketing yourself is quite a skill.
I see what you are saying. I duno but sometimes it is nice knowing that you are guaranteed a paycheck for the work you put in on a consistant basis. Entreprenurialship has alot of risks and you may not even get paid for your work plus you have to put in more than the 9-5 shift.
If you enjoy making your websites then you should definitely keep building sites in your spare time. Try and make sites that you are interested in that won't need much maintenance and market them as much as you can. If you're still going nowhere with that then at least it will be a nice suplamental income when you get a real job.
