Are there any payment processors that just charge a fee(not $0.xx + % of transaction)

    Hi,

I have a web hosting company that specializes in cheap plans. Our most used plan is $0.99 - so my problem is that most online payment processors charge a fee $0.xx + a percentage from each transaction.

For example, Paypal might take $0.35 out of every $0.99 transaction I make... which drastically hurts my business.

Do you guys know of a solution to my problem? Switching to off-line payments would be impractical for my normally under $5 sales. I also do not want to move away from my $0.99 plan :)

    Thanks,

    Max

Anyway you need to pay a fee for online payment processors. Even if you use a payment processor that don't charge any fee between transactions, at last you need to pay the fee for getting money out.

I suggest you change $0.99 to $1.99 and give more space in that plan! Because if you continue in this way you will only get headache to earn few cents for every sell.

Anyway maybe there be a better way, Always there is a better way and I suggest you something.

    Good Luck!

This would work but it is explicitly prohibited by Paypal. You will know this if you read your contractual agreement with Paypal.

    https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xpt/UserAgreement/ua/USUA-outside#receive-policy

Basically what other web hosts do is to require one year prepayment for anything under $1 a month then for the higher plans, you can opt to accept monthly payments.

    Thanks very much, eddy.

Really sorry for the misleading information, and I think it's time for me to study the rules. Sorry. I'll delete the post.

I had the same problem for my hosting plan.
I came up with this solution, guess you could implement the same.
Offer the 1$ hosting rate, but with the condition that 6 months is mandatory.
you can see www.spyroe.com for details.

I see. I think I will go with the 6 month minimum idea for my smallest plan.

    Thanks guys!
