I was wondering if anyone knew of any affiliates out there that offer some type of website database protection software or consulting services that has a pay-per-lead program. I would like to be able to send traffic to them (and get paid of course), but not sure where to find a business like this. You are welcome to copy this idea and clue me in if you have seen it done or think it’s ridiculous…and if there is a consulting group out there that is looking to add another service to their list you may want to look into this. There are a ton of websites out there where their database is not protected from SQL injection techniques…funny part is some of these sites are big companies and organizations with sensitive data, but there is also a large percentage of small companies that have this problem and don’t even know it. (Mostly folks who got some web work done over seas or by a small development company that doesn’t know any better) If I offered the service I would call it Web Form Protection or something like that…anyway. I was looking to set up an opportunity for myself where my website forms that had a note added underneath my editable text fields and have a link to a landing page that would list the acceptable punctuation that a user could enter into the field. There would be a message at the bottom that would say something like: “Why do we do this?†then have a message under that that says...â€Your website may be venerable…click here to find out how.†Of course this link would go to the consulting affiliate I was asking about where I would hopefully get paid every time someone was curious. Consulting services could sell a site protection package for $XXXX to the user that would sign up, they could offer a free site review (basically performing a SQL injection test on their forms for them). I think it would be an easy way to open a sales dialog if anything. It’s kind of like selling insurance…even though these tactics can be considered a little on the darker gray side, there is a lot of money made this way like in other real world markets…cough ‘financial services’ cough… I feel like there is a lot of opportunity here…but then again I could be wrong – looking forward to your input. thanks
