Google, Yahoo, MSN... although to get your site indexed it's best to have another site link to your site and let the search engine's find your site in this fashion, rather than submitting your site to them. Try out Bob's free list of web directories at: http://www.seocompany.ca/directory/free-web-directories.html to get those first few links. I would work on your content as it is a little thin before applying or you won't be accepted.
Something that will save you lots of time and aggravation is roboform - you can create different identities with custom fields that's perfect for filling out online forms in search engine and diretory submissions. NeO has a good info page and example of it and then a list of about 700 directories to put it to use
Thanks Wrmineo Actually my gf is the one that made up the directory whiz (she's learning through the W3C school & trial and error) Roboform is a life saver when hand jamming directory submissions... and the way the 640+ directories are set up.... you can do a few sets of ten and then come back to it and know right where you left off... it really is handy NeO
I will add your site free of charge to over 60 search engines if you give me a decent link on your site. You can get more information in my signature (SubmissionDesk). Just PM me if interested.
Unless you have loit of time their is no need to submit to SE. Let SE find you. If you have no links you are not going to ranked.
If you have no links, SEs won't find you. Remember being listed in one SE's database will also help you get listed by other SEs. (i.e. AOL Search is controlled by listings in Google)
