Are the softwares websites paying well?

hi everybody

i am planing to ctreat a website for downloading softwares.

i know that it is not not easy at all ;because i have to put the latest versions of the softwares, enough description of zach one and some screenshots...

-what are your opinions about this?
-are these types of websites paying well with adsense?

Yes they pay average, almost 10 cent per click but if you search any software you will see 100s of sites created by copying each other data. Softplanet, soft32, tucows etc etc

I know stats of www.download-universe.com it gets almost 10 to 20 cent per click

i know that there are so many sites about softwares. but you should know that all these sites became famous by hard working not from the first day.

what i am planing to do is to make downloading softwares easy and safe in the same time;because i remarqued that downloading from many sites of this kind take time.

but do you think Is it possible to put a none softwares ads in my sites?

 

Yes thats possible to get None-software ads on software pages but it would be something negative.

Mostly ads are displayed according to your Page Title, Meta keywords and Descriptions and according to content of your page.

Let suppose you have software page about any Antispyware, would you have Title, Meta and Content on that page related to Mortgages and Credit cards ?

So bottom line is - Let Google decide what ads should be dispalyed. I am using adsense since long time, I know when ever you try to drive adsense ads, its CTR or its clicks - you are in bad books of Google.

playing with the ads content may affect the CTR

 

10-20 cents per click is not that good actually. I would rather try and use some affiliates and earn per commission in that case.

 

Yes true - 10-20 cent is not good when you have only street fellows to visit your site

But if you have genuine content, Proper on-site and off-site SEO, getting traffic from serach engines finally good ads placements then 10-20 makes you enough.

for small sites 10-20 is nothing - I agree

 

You shouldn't plan to go into creating a site solely based on generating revenue. Thats a bad idea, you should make a site about something that interest you, not because you want to find out what niches pay well.

 

The websites which provide softwares for downloading have a very low low ctr. But you may get high eCPM if you write about softwares which are relates business. A good description with the software may get you good traffic. And if you are providing good softwares you may get some regular visitors to your website.

If you ask me instead of such a website just try a good information providing blog. That will do much better.

Change the plan. Why are you wasting your time providing softwares when you can earn by just writing about them.

I think you should create a website which just provides information about softwares and pros and cons etc. That will be much much better.
