Are the online bank accounts safe?

I saw today that you can open a bank account online (without the bank people seeing you). Is that a safe thing? Doesn't it just make it easier for someone to use your identity?

 

well, all i can say is that Back account Online prone to Hacker unless there is a strong security...

 

I suppose it could be unsafe if you use some random bank.
Just make sure to do your research to make sure that they are legit. Most large banks offer the option to open an account online and are, for the most part, very secure.
