fake? you can't think it's real. Where are the bumps, bruises, black eyes, bloody nose and busted lip, etc.
OOPS.. It took so much time for you to realise that? Its absolute drama and they even have screen play writers for characters like Undertaker
Let us clarify this. Wrestling is NOT fake. Wrestling is STAGED. This means they practice the matches before event but injuries do occur when things go wrong, surprisingly there is a large number of injuries. There is a difference between fake and staged. I know this because I have followed wrestling for a long period of time (9 years or so) and I know some semi-professional wrestlers.
I went to WWE live before. The slapping and punching is 100% fake. The acrobatics is real but more for show that pain.
It's not fake, the police in the US are quite happy for men to beat each other to a pulp with sticks and chairs, to stamp on one another and brawl for real!! Bring back the Warrior!
yeah all scripted, fake, actors sadly. They do sustain some injuries though. But sometimes the acting is quite awful when you see them punch their own hands on the opponents head.
As mentioned, it's scripted, NOT "fake". These guys do get hurt, and they get hurt often. How can you fake a fall from a 10ft ladder? Smoke and mirrors? No, they're not actively trying to hurt each other and they do pull their punches, kicks, etc, but there often is contact, they are jumping off the top rope, they are getting body slammed (even if it's not full force), and maybe that big cut on the Undertakers forehead was caused by a razorblade they had planted in the turnbuckle, but do you think that hurts any less than one inflicted through a punch? They practice a ton to minimize the risk of injury, but those guys do go to bed sore most nights. I know several wrestlers in regional promotions and most have had multiple surgeries, have bum knees by age 30, etc.
As an avid fan growing up, i was sad to watch a WWE taping live stateside and learn that it is terribly fake...there's still some contact, but you probably would want your money back if you were a fan before
