are tags in wordpress the same as keywords??

Are they both the same? should i have them both or is it enough if i have only tags?

They are keywords, but they're contained in text links and clustered together in what's called a "tag cloud". WordPress doesn't handle them properly with regard to duplicate content issues, so make sure you block your tags via your robots.txt file. See the link "WordPress SEO Checklist" in my signature (scroll down a few posts) for a sample robots.txt file that you can use for WordPress.
