    hello,

i've seen wordpress templates that list the tags at the bottom of each post. are those necessary if you have a tag cloud in the right navigation? or does that help for SEO purposes? i have my meta keywords the same as my tags. not sure if it's necessary to have tags at the bottom of the page.

Nope, they're not necessary. In fact, I don't even use them at all. Just make sure the keywords you want to rank well for are in your body copy (your posts) and that they appear naturally (in other words, they don't sound spammy when read aloud).

Not necessary, but it couldn't hurt. But Dan is right - there's nothing better than good, well written, targetted copy.

On some blogs it is the keyword metatag. Metatags do not hold as much weight in the Google algorithm as they once did however, Google changes algorithms often. One day it may hold a lot of weight.
