My one month old blog http://5530xpressmusic.com has got sitewide links from 2 blogs abuggedlife and immmooo. These 2 blogs are nofollow but because of these my backlink count has crossed 1000 mark in less than a month. Is it dangerous for my blog.Should i avoid blogs which have recent comments plugin. Please Help.
I wouldn't worry to much, I tried it myself having +3000 links in a matter of days and nothing happened. However be carefull about sidewide links. (try reading this thread :http://forums.seochat.com/google-optimization-7/the-evil-of-sitewide-links-test-46712.html )
I would not worry about the amount of inbound links in a short amount of time (ex. twitter), however sitewides have fallen out of favor recently.l
Google is pretty vocally against paid for links. Site wides would be pretty easy for them to check and what other explaination to you think that they are going to come up with besides it being a paid link? unless there is some relationship between the two sites why would anyone put a sitewide link on thier site to another site? While it is unlikely there would be any penalty, likely Google will not give the link any value.
I don't think harmful is the right word. Google will likely only discount those links from being helpful in the serps. That causes you no harm, it just might not help.
But few days ago my blog was ranking very high for certain keywords and one morning i was nowhere in the Google search results till page 15.i think it all because of site wide links because i did nothing wrong other than this.
There can be a lot of reasons for that. Temporary shifts in the serps, Google catching some of your other links that they decided to discount (they do this a lot), if your site is new then you might have gotten a temporary boost that has now slacked off. Hard to tell without going over your site in detail, and at best anyone can only guess.
If the links are nofollowed... you don't get any credit for them at all with G. So there's no possible way they can harm you. In addition, as long as you're not doing anything black hat, there's no possible way an inbound link can harm you anyway as you can't control who links to you. It's outbound links that you have to think about and these can cause issues if you link out to disreputable sources.
I would have to disagree. You are innocent until proven guilty when it comes to paid links. You could have a sitewide link through being a partner, friend, interesting resource, etc.
see, the thing is that there is no matter of the back link which you got from other blogs, because in Blog matter that Links quality depend on Blog content.
