Are sites like this legit, to find the value of a website?

I realize they can't be 100% correct, but are they close?

No, typically they aren't even close.

There's too many factors to count in, I can't find the article now but on

http://back-links.org they had an article which talked about how to determine the worth or your blog.

 

Yeah they won't give a accurate valuation.

 

Their calculation parameters are erroneous. A high-value site can be undervalued, if assessed by that website.

I tested a couple of my blogs, & was like BS! they suggested the blogs value at less than $100!

I make more than that in a month from one of my blogs...

I just wanted to hear what everyone had to say about that type of site,

They just count your backlinks, serps and alexa etc to find an estimate. They have no idea about your niche, your revenue and quality of traffic.
