Are Sig Links from DP any good for PR?

I apologise if this question has been asked before by someone else, was feeling too lazy to search...sorry

What I want to know is how much do signature links from DP posts help in SERPS or PR. As far as I know I do get a no. of backlinks for my sites listed in my sig from DP on yahoo site explorer.

But how good is it for Google? Does having a large no. of posts here give you higher chances at SERPS. For xample, some people here have 10,000+ posts! They would be generating a lot of backlinks fo teir signature isnt it?

 

I believe they are. They also count as backlinks and every link counts. IMO

If the content is more relevant to the signature link, it will definitely add some value to the targeted link.

Lots of the threads I've posted in are PR3! not bad stuff.

 

they will be counted as backlinks but i think it will not effect your page rank. sig. link from dp forums will bring search engine spiders to your site

 

My PR for a new site launched two months back got PR-2 in this PR update and having more backlinks due to my posting here...

Older threads have more chance to get PR and give it forward. But forums indexing is a bit complicated as I observe.

 

I think a link on DP helps out alot. The more posts you have the better.

Yeah, someone purchased one of my sig links last month for a decent amount. One month over so I'm putting it up for sale again...you can see in my sig where the link will be and click on it to view the thread for more details

yep, they are both giving PR AND clicks. Most traffic for some of my sites are from Signature link itself.

I think it is worth it as some older threads have PR2 or 3 so in time the threads I write in now should hopefully get this same PR in time.
