I have a growing business which is not allowing me to spend as much time on SEO and link building as I would like, but I still write blogs, comment on blogs, write articles, submit to directories, add fresh content, optimize metas, social bookmark, etc. Will an outside SEO firm provide any service that will: 1. Increase amount of SEO work done 2. Offer new techniques or carry out old ones better and pay for itself in terms of improved SERPs?
Yes, it can. I do monthly services for quite a few companies and usually in a month or two can make my monthly costs turn a ROI.
Why is that? It depends on the services rendered. No client should have the same monthly cost as their needs will always differ from each other.
I always do my SEO alone not because I'm an expert but because I don't seem to find anything extraordinary unbelievably hard in SEO after all it's not rocket science. I agree that what a SEO expert can do for you in a month an average guy would need half a year but if you save 5000$ it's worth it in MOST of the cases (not all of course)
Tony i have to disagree, actually its closer to rocket science then most people realize. My seo friend consistently gets top 10 google rankings at decent prices yet people look at his links and cant see what he sees in them. The link building part of seo is much more intricate then people realize.People look at his links then look at the incredibly tough keywords he has gotten ranked and cant understand how it happens, but hes all white hat and he does it 99% of the time plus he has a portfolio to boot. Its much much much more difficult then just going out there and getting relevant links. It takes knowledge of search engines and link building that most seo's dont have. He actually learned seo from someone that made him build a search engine from scratch. The fact that hes from india means he can under cut the bigger seo companies. Im almost done making him a website of his own that he can just seo to the top 10 . Hes not a businessman, just an seo.
Judging by your sig links its still a secret to you lol..... those are keyword terms???? PS my sigs are not for SEO rankings....... To the OP yes outside SEO can help... but you need to be sure to find a firm that specializes in working on mid to high level keywords. There are 1,000,000 so called seos (Many here at DP oddly) ranking for terms like 'south american alpaca wool sportscoats' / 'how to build a house with cards' etc . Good luck with your growing business!!!!
Seo firms they aren't many good and most charge very high But try a seo freelancer Seo definitly deserves the money
If you are capable of doing it yourself and you have the time, I say do not hire someone. However, if you need help or you not capable of top notch SEO work, it is worth hiring someone. As far as rather it is worth it, it depends on how much it is worth to you. If your time is worth more than what you spend, it is worth it. If you do not fully know how to do SEO, it will be worth it. Only you can decide the value in terms of what it saves you. Just do not fall for promises of top 10 all the time. If everyone who hired an SEO pro received a top ten, everyone would rush out and hire a pro. Use the services for what they are, a time saver. Most SEO work is now easy to figure out so there is no need to hire a pro unless you have no clue or you are too busy.
If you can find a good SEO firm who really knows what they are doing, and will provide you with a definitive structure as to how they plan to optimize your campaigns, then it's absolutely worth it. Just do your due diligence before you hire someone, so you aren't paying for services that don't actually occur. Also be sure to follow up, and learn about SEO yourself so that you can witness the differences, and whether it was worthwhile hiring a team to help you. If you don't learn to analyze the results, you won't ever know if it was really feasible in the first place.
do a search for SEO OPTIMIZATION, and check who is first, second, it stands to reason that if they were any good they would be in the top 10 for the business they supposedly are good at.. it makes me laugh to see Google ads for some, obviously the only way they can get on the first page is using adwords...lol
Actually many of the best SEOs you will never find............many do not SEO their sites nor use PPC. For example most of the work I get is referrals or returning webmasters, so who needs to advertise? Next many do not SEO their SEO site... and use Paid Ads to filter out all of the wasted time from people trying to get to the front page of Google for keyword (take a pick) viagra, poker, gambling, etc Seo Budget: $100.00 So obviously, there is more to why SEOs do as we do, than your misguided thoughts above..
Actually i have ranked first page for SEO, SEO Company, SEO Companies, SEO Services and many others including SEO Optimization. Let me say a good SEO wouldn't intentionally try and rank for SEO Optimization, the keyphrase is pretty simple to rank for and that's because it's not worth it, the traffic volume and conversion is poor.
Well, I suppose that there are people who really know what they are doing but how can we distinguish the fake from the real professionals?
1. Long term rankings (multi year top 5) on Google for one or two word, mid to high competition, keyword phrases. 2. Keyword ranking reports from the past. 3. Due diligence email / call current and / or ex clients. 4. Current rankings. 5. Ability to rank on all three major engines first pages.
