Well, i ve noticed at both my college and my friends college that the IT Technicians have updated there blocking/filtering system for their network. Now pretty much nothing works on the internet, i have noticed that its not just them updating the original filtering system put in place but that they have changed the whole interface of the school and college. I was wondering if this was happening in a few places or if it was just my college and my friends. I tried today, a brand new proxy site i found, and a couple that i am currently advertising and none of them worked. I was shocked to realize this, as usually you would find at least one out of about twenty i used to work. I am also wondering if the new proxy script that is coming out soon will stop this or not. Will.
I think if you get SSL (HTTPS) they're harder to block? For example, http://www.snoopblocker.com was blocked for ages here... https://snoopblocker.com/ works fine though.
Download putty and sockscap, make a proxy tunnel to a certain server from localhost in putty. then add your browser to sockscap and set the proxy in sockscap to localhost. Start browser in sockscap and have fun
At my school it seems not to matter if you use a proxy or not since they (the school) know who you are and what your doing anyways.
