I am going to start on my free directories and paid directories lists (just like everyone else seems to be doing ) would you say "recip required" actually asks for something in return, therefore is NOT free?
Recip is not free because you need to put something on your website which links back to the directory.
By definition it's not free. I would rather not come across recip requireds in Paid or Free. These directories should be drug out into the street and shot. Ok that might be a bit harsh, maybe just shot.
How can it be free? Something is required in return, i.e. the payment of a reciprocal link. I would like to remove the reciprocal link option from my directories using phpld3.1 but can't work out how to - anybody know?
Some require reciprocal and money. In this one, is it paid or reciprocal? Or reciprocal with paid? IMO, free is usually considered as free to be listed, money wise. But in DP, people somehow don't like to define "reciprocal" as free. I am sure many people think free submission only in terms of "no money involved". Isn't it why we often see new DP member lists his/her new directory requiring reciprocal link for free listing at Solicitations & Announcements forum? I think it's better to say for reciprocal link either; Free w/reciprocal Paid w/reciprocal
it can be considered paid because if u buy a link at paid directory u pay .. .and the owner buy a link on some site for advertisement ... in reciprocal u just give them a link bak so it saves the owner from gettin and giving .. its like quick
A mandatory reciprocated link in exchange for a listing is not free as I see it. There may not be a fee required, but you are obligated to provide something in return. Free would indicate that nothing is asked of me in exchange for a listing in your directory.
unconditional.. may be the key. But then any directory will require to fill the blank I wonder if there is a directory that freely lists people's websites even without taking time to submit site info
