I'm just wondering about web proxy's, are they legal? If somebody say was to access a child pornography site or do some illegal activity's through your proxy, what would the implications be on the proxy owner, if any.
But is their any harm using adsense on it . what if your daily users stat clicking on ads daily or by mistake too .
If you are aware that people are using your proxy to access child porn and just allow it to continue, you could certainly end up having criminal responsibility, especially if the offending files end up on your computers/servers at any time. It would be no excuse that you had those files to provide them others - That itself could be considered a crime. Distribution of child porn should be prevented for moral reasons as well.
I have a friend who owns a proxy site - and yes he monitors all his proxies. Remember that he can see every site you go to (it records the i.p which used his proxy). so yea
The real purpose of proxies is to provide you security....its the visitors who use it to unblock sites at school/work etc. But still anyway...proxies are legal.
The way I can think of is referring to the domain statistics. If you could share with us how your friend monitors I'm sure that'd be great help for everyone with proxies - especially when it comes down to preventing your proxies being used for the wrong reasons, porn etc.
I would like to know how to see what my users are seeing so I can make sure they are using it for legitimate reasons and not doing any thing shady/illegal.
