Are PLR Articles/ Blogs Still Marketable?

Since one of my contracts just ended, I've decided to start testing the market to determine how I can best expand my business. I've been playing with the idea of offering PLR packs and PLR packs that I personalize with keywords, business and website names, etc.

I'd like to ask you website owners out there what would appeal to you in a PLR pack. Some of the questions I have are:

    1. How many articles would you like to see in each pack?

    2. Is there a maximum number of buyers you would like to see buying each pack?

    3. Does the option of having the writer do small personalization of the PLR articles for you appeal to you?

    4. What subjects would be most in demand? I'm thinking travel and health.

    5. Is there something I'm forgetting or overlooking? I've not done any PLR before, so any input you can give is great :)

It is pretty old-school. I don't have much experience in this business, but I guess it would be hard to find buyers.

I just gave it a shot myself. I created two 10 article packets and marketed them off one of my sites. I sold one of them a few times, didn't sell any of the others, and pulled the one I sold off the market.

So, it's worth giving it a shot, but you may end up needing to do something with those articles later on.
