Can you really make a new account every week with clickbank just to prevent this? Is there another way to make sure you sales aren't getting jacke?

Anyone find some good software or some tips that could help prevent this ahead of time?

If you're getting hops, your sales aren't being stolen (for those particular hops). Make sure your lapse in sales is due to missing hops, and not due to worse conversions of hops into sales.

If your talking about the method posted in another thread, Then no there is currently no feasable way around this. Unless clickbank alter their cookie utilisation which they probably won't.

I get about 600 clicks a day and 6-8 sales, the hops are tracking, and it's back on track for today or saturday morning?

I only got 1 sale yesterday at around 11:53. I know there was a 30minute downtime but man!

    Something fishy? maybe
    Mathematically possible? maybe

things like that are common with clickbank but anyone knows that its not Mathematically possible.

However, this issue is easily explained when you take in consideration that whenever clickbank report a downtime, it is always far worst than their officially reports.

It really makes sence when you take in consideration that clickbank have in reality lot of downtimes that are not reported . then only report severe downtimes when they cant keep it internally. Strictly speaking one can fairly assume that the downtime they reported was not of just 30 minutes but far much longer. (probably most of the day)

Of course it is mathematically possible. I haven't worked with Clickbank over
the past couple of years as much as I have in the past, but I have gotten
some pretty nice checks from them from 1999 through 2005. There were
some days I would get 12 sales, some days 24 sales, and yes some days
only one or two sales. Sales will always vary like this on a day to day
basis. You should be looking more at a month to month basis, especially
if your sales are not really high volume. I've been reading posts on forums
since 1999 like this, with people always saying something is wrong with
Clickbank. Now if someone gets 50-100 sales a day, and all at once only
gets 2 or 3, then they can say that something is wrong.

You and I are spot on with traffic and sales. And spot on with a crappy week. Today is looking okay at 2 sales so far. But I'm not holding my breath for a decent day of 4-6 sales. I've increased traffic but sales are still down. And yesterday I had a couple sales up until around noon as well and then nothing else until this morning.

Everyday for the past few months I've had at least 4-6 sales a day. No less. And then all of a sudden I can't make more then a couple sales a day. Even after I increase traffic and tweak more. Bah!

How many computers have parasitic laden software with legalstealware and legaltheftware or whocaresware is skimming hops and potential sales as we speak? Whos going to miss hops and an occasional sale right?

Wayneb - I couldn't agree with you more.

It's a breath of fresh air to see a common-sense post like this one every now and then at DP.

Some threads really make me wonder...

I personally promote alot of products outside of CB..and I can say without reservation that it is just a problem we face....

every few months people jump around screaming CB is baaaaaaddd...it isn't....

It's just the way it is...I have the same issues with other aff. programs....

sometimes people's PC's don't do cookies.....or they get lost...or a whole host of other reasons why you don't get the sales...

    it's just a fact of affiliate life..period..

here's one for you...my father owns a shop in the middle of a town centre...and all week he made over £4,000 a day....and then one day...he did £200 total.... was that CB's fault???...nope...just a fact of life and the way consumer purchasing goes..
