I just got my eyes on themoviedownloads.com They ask you to register and pay to get access to their site. After that they promise you a whole lot of movies, soft, music for free downloads. I wanted to investigate them so i just found a cheat id and password and loged in. In site all they have is instruction on how to download through torrents... and guess what people are paying them like anything to learn this simple crap their alexa rank is 2757
There are way too many of these scam sites on the Internet. They basically suck people in who think they can get stuff for super cheap or free.
Yeh if this site was the only one... In same topic, I found also few days ago a website/forum selling member accounts for $19.99 year for movie/games/tvseries rapidshare links. You can also find that links for free just googling
hmm if the torrent are from private trackers then its fine but from public torrent site like piratebay then kick the site
Im not saying I agree with what they do but its not really scamming just misleading... its like buying an ebook with information... paying for information which I know a lot of people do

I agree with this... I wouldn't call it a scam at all. If people are willing to pay money for illegal downloads, then they obviously don't know that they could get them through torrents. Now they know - they are still getting what they want.

I agree With The OP, I have Even Used A account Like That offered By a friend and I thought What ?? They Teach me how to download From mininova which i used to do a year ago lol, I dont Know How These People Pay For This crap and trust them,
Well the sad part about it is that everyone knows that torrents site usually run illegal stuff through them, and once the people pay to get the info they probably still do it!...The last time I checked DL'ing a movie, mp3 or anything like that was illegal so having someone pay for torrents info should be too.
That's what the internet became.. sad, isn't it? Can't blame the owners of that site tho.. people are lazy, stupid and as originally said DUMB, if they used their brain once in a while and also could use google to search they would made their life easier. A big part of the internet surfers is uneducated, this is a basic principle of internet marketing .
