Are Paid Links Still Worthwhile?

With the end of pagerank and the like, are paid hardlinks on relevant sites still important?

Depends on a website. There are few factors of a website which link to other website. You need to search a good website then email to webmaster privately for purchasing links.

 

Well, in order to purchase any link, just check its authority in Google, like its back links, its Page Rank, whether it is indexed or not?, it's hosting area, IP location etc etc ..........

if all are yes then you should purchase that link otherwise you should avoid from purchasing such a link ........

The worst case scenario of bad links can do is that it won't pass any value towards your ranking.

This is a great question and one, as you can see from the answers above, that does not have a direct answer. Some services are terrible and will in fact deliver links from undesirable sources. Google may count this against you--there are cases of that. So, before committing to any paid links, check the history and success of the provider before paying for anything. Remember though, you forfeit all control if you pay others for links and, if things go bad because of bad links, it will very difficult to undo.
